In-Home Delivery

Professional Delivery Service

For customers in Dare County, Currituck County, and the surrounding Outer Banks region, your furniture will typically be delivered by our professional drivers in our own delivery trucks. This allows us to provide personalized, white-glove service directly to your home.

We service all of Dare County and most of Currituck County for free! For deliveries outside our immediate service area, we partner with trusted in-home freight carriers who provide the same level of professional service. In-home carriers offer many benefits throughout the delivery process. Unlike standard freight carriers, in-home delivery service consists of a trained delivery team that will assist in moving your furniture from the truck directly into your home and placing it in your desired room.

Please note: In all cases, the delivery team will not hook up any electrical connections, component wires, or plumbing fixtures. It is important for you to inspect your shipment carefully upon arrival!

IMPORTANT: Any damage to the carton or product itself must be noted on the delivery receipt BEFORE the driver leaves. Please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" on the delivery document they ask you to sign. This ensures that if there is any damage, we can promptly assist in resolving the matter.

Returns and Damage

Cancellation Policy

Orders cancelled after 24 hours may be subject to charges if product shipment cannot be stopped. To cancel an order, you must CALL Outer Banks Furniture at (252) 715-3450. We will make every effort to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee cancellations made after 5:00 P.M. Eastern Time on the day you placed the order.

  • All returned items must be in new, unused condition. Shipping and handling costs, delivery charges, and any restocking fees are non-refundable.
  • If your order has already shipped, it cannot be cancelled. If you refuse delivery, your order will be subject to our standard return policy, and round-trip shipping costs plus applicable restocking fees (typically 25-35%) will be deducted from your refund.
  • Custom orders and special-order items may not be eligible for cancellation or return once production has begun. Please confirm details before ordering.

It is important for you to inspect your shipment carefully.

  • Check all items immediately upon delivery
  • Note any damage on the delivery paperwork before the driver leaves
  • Contact us immediately if you discover any issues
  • Take photos of any damage for documentation

How to Change Your Order

Order Modifications

If you need to change something about your order—such as a color, finish, style, product, or quantity—please call Outer Banks Furniture at (252) 715-3450 as soon as possible.

Important: Changes may not be possible once your order has entered production or has been shipped. Custom and special-order items cannot be modified once manufacturing has begun. Contact us immediately for the best chance of accommodating your request.
